Mariana S-B Lamb, M.S., MOASC Executive Director

Ms. Lamb is President and partner of Efficient Physician a health care management consulting firm established in 1988 to assist physicians and their staff with the business operation of their practice, and a practicing medical management consultant with more than 25 years experience in health care.

Ms. Lamb received her Masters of Science in Health Care Administration, has taught at the University of La Verne and lectured medical students at the College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pomona on medical practice management, as well as being a member of the JCAHO survey task force.. Ms. Lamb has successfully designed and implemented automated insurance contract systems and financial management systems for acute care facilities and medical practices.

As Executive Director of the Medical Oncology Association of Southern California, Inc. (MOASC), she has actualized an increase in membership by 67% in two years. She has successfully assisted in lobbying state legislators in approving "off label" use of chemotherapy drugs. She continues to meet quarterly with the Carrier Medical Directors of major California insurance companies (NHIC South and NHIC North, Blue Cross of California, Blue Shield of California, California Department of Health Services and EDS Medi-Cal). She is the editor of the associations' monthly reimbursement and legislative newsletter.

Ms. Lamb continues to speak to audiences representing physicians, administrators, medical associations and pharmaceutical manufacturers as well as contribute articles to national publications.
